Trial Expert Witness/Consultant, Jury Consultant

Qualifications Overview

Landry was born into a politically active family and began his career early in the decade of the 1960s.

His original goal was to earn a degree in law.

Due to an early marriage, and ensuing offspring, his plans to attend L.S.U. law school were thwarted.

However, he continued his involvement in the political and legal arenas throughout his career.

Landry decided to pursue the upstream energy (exploration, drilling and production) industry, both onshore and offshore, in the U.S. Gulf of Mexico region, and internationally, as his vocation.

As such, and to date, Landry has accumulated over four decades of experience in the aforementioned industry, with considerable and varied expertise in the following disciplines:

Oil and Gas Exploration (Geology/Geophysics)
Oil and Gas Drilling (Engineering & Operations)
Oil and Gas Production (Engineering & Chemistry)
Oil and Gas Aviation (Aviation Technology)
Oil and Gas Maritime (Marine Technology)
Oil and Gas H,S&E (Health, Safety & Environmental practices)

In addition to the above, Landry has lobbied a state legislature, managed statewide political campaigns, has been involved as a plaintiff in multiple legal actions, and has assisted legal counsel in high-profile federal criminal actions.

Landry has an innate, and exercised ability to objectively and comprehensively communicate complicated and specific technical procedures and knowledge to persons without specific knowledge of said technical procedures and knowledge, such as judges, plaintiff/defendant counsel and members of a jury.

As a number of his contemporaries have referred to him as a Renaissance man, his lifelong interests in the abstract disciplines of psychology, philosophy and sociology, as well as participation in sports, music, aviation, etc., have served him well in society.

Landry also has extensive information technology experience, is well versed in electronic discovery, and is acutely aware of the Daubert standard.

Landry’s experience in the upstream energy industry, as well as his experience with legal practices, trial preparation and U.S. jurisprudence, both state and federal, make him well suited to assist counsel in trial preparation, jury selection and procedural efforts.

More detailed professional credentials, and other information are in his enclosed curriculum vitae.
